Our mother gave us our first breath, our first look at the world, even our first fashion tutorials. That’s right. Don’t forget, she dressed us before we could dress ourselves — and probably had to change our little outfits just about as often as our diapers! She showed us the way, allowing her style to help develop ours.

LC: What’s the most important or inspirational thing your mother ever taught you?
KM: “My mother taught me about optimism and hope. To live in the moment and laugh often.”
LC: If you could do anything for your mother….?
KM: ”If I could do anything for my mom, it would be to make her smile. It reenergizes me.”
LC: What’s the one thing your mother has done for you that you will never forget?
KM: ”I will never forget how she told me to do what makes me happy and that she loves me no matter what.”
